We understand that waiting for a decision is frustrating
Prior to Covid-19, the average wait for an AFCS claim to progress through Veterans UK was 3-4 months. Fast forward to 2025 and the average wait for an AFCS claim is 8-9 months and it’s considerably longer for WPS, with many taking over a year.
We know that you want regular updates on the progression of your case, and we send Veterans UK an email every month seeking an update. We will update you on the same day that we receive any new information on your case. Although we have a good working relationship with Veterans UK, we have no influence on how quickly they work.
What we can tell you is that we will respond to all emails, text messages or WhatsApp messages from you within 24 hours, even if that is over a weekend or a Bank Holiday. Waiting for a decision is frustrating, but we are clear from the outset how long the process is, and we guarantee that we will notify you of the decision on your case the same day that we receive it.
